Lunch in a Box was established in 2007 and prepares healthy, fresh, single serve meals. Each one is individually packaged and portioned and can be tailored to suit a variety of tastes and dietary requirements.

Our delicious food boxes are made to order and delivered straight to the door. We cater for staff lunches, corporate events, conferences, weddings, parties and major events such as Australia Day, festivals, NSW Police, charities and church groups in and around Sydney.

We offer a huge range of menu choices and can cater for any allergies or dietary needs, including:

Lunch in a box operates from a fully certified commercial kitchen near to the CBD. While our lunch boxes are hugely popular, we also offer:

Application Process/Stages

1. Discovery Call
After your enquiry into franchising for Lunch in a Box, you’ll receive a franchise pack. Next, a member of our team will reach out to you for a short telephone discovery call. Here you can get all your initial questions answered.

2. Complete Application Form
To move forwards with the franchise recruitment process, please complete the Lunch in a Box Franchise application form. This includes a confidentiality agreement and detailed franchise information. Once finished, return this to the franchising team.

Upon receiving and reviewing your completed application form, you’ll be invited to participate in a telephone interview with one of our franchising team. This gives us a chance to learn more about you, your experience and knowledge of the Lunch in a Box brand.

After successfully negotiating the telephone interview, you’ll be invited to participate in a brand review via Zoom. This is where you’ll experience a high level presentation of the Lunch in a Box brand.

5. Financial and Brand Due Diligence
Here you’ll receive more information to assist you with due diligence. All information provided is based on the current performance of the Lunch in a Box network.

Here you’ll attend a one-on-one meeting to learn more about Lunch in a Box and the relationship they have with franchise partners. This can be completed in person or via Zoom.

During this step, you get to witness the daily operations of a Lunch in a Box franchise. You’ll be looked after by a member of the operations team and a current franchise partner.

8. Self-Assessment and Business Planning
Here you’re required to complete an online self-assessment and to create a detailed business plan. This helps you to consider all the factors in operating a Lunch in a Box franchise.

9. Final Interview
This final interview will be conducted by the executive team. You’ll be asked a range of questions to ensure you know the commitment you’re making and that you’ve conducted due diligence.

If you successfully complete the franchise recruitment process, you’ll be issued a Franchise Agreement and Franchise Disclosure document. Here you should seek legal and business advice before returning these to us.

Once you’ve signed your franchise agreement and paid your store deposit, hands on training will begin. The Lunch in a Box team will guide you through you through everything you need to know to succeed.

12. Settlement and Store Opening
After your training is successfully completed, you can start catering for your very own Lunch in a Box business. You are now responsible for finding clients, preparing tasty meals and delivering food as a Lunch in a Box franchise partner.

Do I need my own kitchen to run a Lunch in a Box franchise?

Yes, franchise partners are required to set up their own commercial kitchen to prepare orders for Lunch in a Box. The cost of this set up is not included in the franchise fee.
